Long Eaton Carnival

Long Eaton's community carnival and show on Saturday 17th June is a free-entry event suitable for the whole family to enjoy.

Participating in the free-entry road parade and booking space on the showground provide advertising opportunities for business/organisations as does booking a slot in one of the arenas or in the music marquee to provide entertainment.  Participate and show the people of Long Eaton and its surrounds that it is not necessary to go else where because Long Eaton has got talent as well as everything required for day-to day living.

Draycott Open Gardens Weekend

Annual event over Saturday and Sunday 24/25 June. Lots of interesting gardens to explore in this lovely village awarded ‘Gold’ in 2016’s ‘Erewash in Bloom’ competition. Along with beautiful gardens, there are community projects to view, such as the Community Allotment and the Flower Festival at St Chad’s Church, Church Wilne is also being held over the weekend. Plant and craft sales, and refreshments available throughout.

All proceeds from the weekend help to fund future community events. Entry maps are priced at £2 per adult, children free, and are valid for both days. Maps available from various locations throughout the village, a week before the event and over the weekend itself.

The annual Festival of Water is coming to Ilkeston over the 2017 August Bank Holiday Weekend and over 100 boats will be moored along the Erewash Canal.

Chestnut Fair 16 - 18

The fair is officially opened by the Mayor at 6pm on Thursday 16 November on Waverley Street.

Opening times are: 6pm - 10pm Thursday and Friday and 1pm - 10pm Saturday.

There will be fair rides and stalls for all ages, carousels for the young to the latest white-knuckle rides for daredevil fans.

Long Eaton Christmas Lights

A magical evening of festive fun, seasonal sights, live music and free family entertainment will all be on offer at this years Long Eaton’s big Christmas Lights switch.

The Mayor of Erewash, will ‘light up’ the town at 7pm to officially launch the Christmas season.

Long Eaton Silver Prize Band will get the event underway the pedestrianised Market Place at 5.30pm before a Local Band takes the stage at 6.20pm when the crowds will be able to sing along to the classic hits and Christmas songs.

There will also be a fun fair and more to keep the whole family entertained.
