765th Ilkeston Charter Fair

Roll up, roll up . . . it’s all the fun of the 765th Ilkeston Charter Fair! The fair will be back in town from Wednesday 18 October to Saturday 21 October.

Opening times

Wednesday 18 October:  6pm - 11pm

Thursday 19 October: 12 - 11pm (Official Opening from 11:45am)

Friday 20 October: 12 - 11pm

Saturday 21 October: 12 - 11pm

One of the oldest and largest street fairs in Europe, the Charter Fair attracts thousands of people and transforms the town centre into a colourful spectacle with some of the biggest and best travelling rides and sideshows in the country.

Pumpkin picking

Join Mr Pumpkin's pumpkin farm where they have lovingly reared an acre of pumpkins, all very unique, with lots of different varieties and colours. Pick you own pumpkin from Saturday 21st - Sunday 29th October.

Run around with the children in the fresh country air and pick your own perfect pumpkin for the Halloween season, and either carve it here or take it home. You can even borrow a wheelbarrow to transport your chosen selection from the field!

LOCATION – Mr Pumpkin, Lime Farm, Mansfield Road, Morley DE7 6JU (approximately 40 metres from the entrance to Broomfield Hall).

 

Throughout the week, there will also be lots of other activities to keep children busy including
• Bouncy castle
• Face painting
• Pumpkin trail around the farm
• Food stall.

Please make sure you bring your wellies and suitable outdoor clothing as it may be muddy in the pumpkin patch!

Free parking and free entry, with a small charge for other activities.

No need to book in advance.

Pumpkins are individually priced depending upon size, and start from £2.00 each.
