We are responsible for managing and regulating new development throughout Erewash.
Its purpose is to ensure that land is used in the most efficient way, in order to encourage economic growth, while protecting Erewash's amenities and environment, both now and for the future.
You may need to contact us for advice if you are thinking about applying for planning permission (required for most new development), if you want to comment on a planning application, if you are concerned that building is taking place without permission or generally, if you are interested in the future development of the borough. Guidance on how to make a planning application can be found under the 'Do I need Planning Permission' section on the website.
Should you have any queries about development within the Borough, or how and when to apply for planning permission, please do not hesitate to contact the Duty Planning Officer on 0115 9072244 (8:30am-1pm).
