Bin round changes for 2010

We have decided to go ahead with changing the day or week of collection for some residents after the successful consultation.

The waste department has found that there is a need to make changes to some of its collection rounds to ensure the cost effective collection of the waste and we will start making the changes to the refuse and recycling services in February 2010.

Every resident of Erewash will receive a colour coded sticker on their household waste bin before implementation informing them of their collection day, for some residents there may not be any change at all.

The sticker will show whether you live in the North or the South ‘zone’ and therefore whether you put out your household waste (black bin) or recycling (blue bin or bags) on the first week of the changes. Our assisted collection service for people unable to put their own bins out will remain in place as usual.
