Accessing Long Eaton Town Hall

The Town Hall is located on Derby Road near to the roundabout at the junction of Nottingham Road and Midland Street. The address is Long Eaton Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton NG10 1HU.

There are bus stops on Derby Road.  There is a set of steps or a path with an incline that allows access from Derby Road to the landscaped area in front of the town hall. Car parking is available at the side of the Town Hall with parking also available at the adjacent supermarket for those shopping there.

Car parking for members of the public is available at the side of the town hall complex, accessible from Midland Street.  There are three disabled parking spaces.

The car park surface is tarmac.  There is not a designated drop off point. There is an incline from the car park directly accessing the area in front of the town hall.

Access to reception

From the car park there is a slope up to a landscaped area. 

The area up to the town hall reception is brick paved.
From Derby Road there is a path with a slope that leads to the brick paved area at the front of the town hall.

Payment desk

The doors into the reception area are automated and slide open.  There is access to a reception area where there is a high reception desk with a lowered level, on the left hand side of the desk.

The area is brightly lit and seating is available.

Interview Rooms

As well as tables and chairs in the open reception area, there are accessible interview rooms.

Public Toilets

A ramp allows access to public toilets, including a disabled toilet.

Access to disabled toilets in the borough are available through the Radar Key scheme.

Computer Access

There are computers available, to the right as you enter the reception area, for members of the public to use.  They are at a fixed height and do not have a speaker function.

Additional Information

Documents can be requested in different formats such as large print.
Registered assistance dogs are welcomed.
A member of staff trained in BSL skills is not generally on duty.
