East Midlands Chamber, Commerce House, 2 Victoria Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8AN
The East Midlands Chamber of Commerce in association with the Department for International Trade will be holding a roundtable on March 11th at 14:00. Senior members of the UK-US Negotiating team, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) and Japan teams will be attending to present and discuss the latest developments on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with these countries. These teams will be keen to hear feedback and questions from companies on the current barriers they face to trading with these countries, and what they would like to see prioritised in negotiations. This is part of the Government’s push to incorporate the view of businesses across the whole of the UK.
Although the focus is on the US, Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) and Japan markets, some focus will also be on the following sectors in these markets:
• US focus is Automotive, Manufacturing, Professional and Business Services, Digital Services, Processed Food and Drink and ‘luxury consumer goods’.
• ANZ focus is Automotive, Energy, Life Sciences, Transport, Food & Drink, Creative, Financial Services and Professional Services.
• Japan focus would be Automotive, Agri/Food and Drink, Professional and Business Services, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Creative

The Anhui province in China is approximately 260 miles from Shanghai. Derbyshire has a relationship with the Anhui Province and there is huge potential for Erewash businesses to establish trade links and conduct business with companies and cities in Anhui.
The Capital of Anhui is Hefei and is home to an Economic and Technological Development Zone and a High Tech Industrial Development Zone. Anhui’s second city, Wuhu also has an Economic and Technological Development Zone as well as an Export Processing Zone which has been approved to be a national level export processing zone.
