Erewash residents who have lost loved ones are being invited to take part in a special Service of Remembrance being held at Bramcote Crematorium on Sunday 15 April.
The crematorium, which is run jointly by Erewash and Broxtowe borough councils, has organised the special service to give bereaved families the opportunity to remember loved ones.
The one-hour service will be held in the Serenity Chapel at 2pm and will include readings, prayers and music. The names of everyone being remembered will be read out during the service and those attending can light a candle in remembrance of their loved ones.
Councillor Carol Hart, the Leader of Erewash Borough council, says:
“We know this service will provide comfort and understanding as people remember their loved ones. These services are always well attended and we receive many compliments for the quality of the services. I know this year will be no different.”
The chapel doors will open at 1.15pm and residents are advised to arrive early as Services of Remembrance are always very well attended.
After the service, weather permitting, balloons will be released from the crematorium grounds, following which refreshments will be available in the Serenity Chapel waiting room.
