treasure hunters weekTake a step back in time and discover the treasures of the ancients when Erewash Museum holds its Treasure Hunters Week during 18-23 February.

Unleash your inner Indiana Jones and become an intrepid adventurer with fun treasure themed activities all week!

On Monday you can search for fossils, on Tuesday get creative with roman crafts, Wednesday have a go at carving mystical runes with the Vikings, and on Thursday there will be crafts inspired by Knights of the Templar. Friday’s adventure involves digging for Aztec gold!

This event offers free admission with some activities being chargeable. 11am - 3pm daily.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Leisure and Culture, said:

         “What a week for being a treasure explorer! The museum will be transformed into an ancient treasure ground with lots of fun activities and discoveries to uncover. Grab your explorer’s hat and see what you can find!”

Erewash Museum is located in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays. Admission is free.
