Walking is a great way to explore the countryside, take up exercise and to get around. Why not check out our walks and trails. Erewash is the perfect place to explore for people of all abilities.

Walk Derbyshire- Free

Walk Derbyshire is a series of Erewash volunteer led walks that provide low intensity exercise which are suitable for people of all abilities. The walks are mostly on flat ground and are varied week by week. All the walks are led by a trained walk leader will they make sure the walk goes at a pace that suits everyone. Walking groups are a great way to meet new friends and discover the natural beauty of the green spaces across Erewash. And best of all it's free!. Remember to wear sturdy flat shoes and bring a waterproof coat.

  • Monday: 10am Long Eaton, meet outside Long Eaton Town Hall, 30-60 minutes.
    10.15am Monday Strollers, meet at Victoria Park Leisure Centre, 30-60 minutes.

  • Tuesday: 10.15am West Park Walkers, meet at West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton, 45-75 minutes.
    10.30am Stanley Walk, meet at Stanley post office, 30-60 minutes.

  • Friday: 10.15am Sandiacre Strollers - meet outside Sandiacre Library, 30 - 60 minutes.

Covid 19 and data collection

Our volunteer led walks are participating in the NHS test and trace scheme and may need to keep details of your visit to our walks for 21 days, in case we or the NHS are required to contact you following your visit. Please be aware the walk leader may ask for this information prior to the walk or you can use the NHS app to scan in using our QR code. We won’t use this information for any other purpose, other than stated. Your details will be kept secure on a database in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
