Help with Debt and Financial Advice

Taking that first step to seek advice can sometimes be a difficult one, however it can often be a positive way of taking control, planning forward and enabling affordable repayment of outstanding debts and maximising household income.

The Money and Pensions (MaPs) debt need survey suggests that 39% of UK adults either need or are at risk of needing debt advice.

There are a lot of independent organisations that offer individual advice on debt and financial checks to ensure that your household income is being optimised.

We would always recommend that you undertake your own research before selecting an organisation for help and advice however, the Government provide a helpful link on free debt advice services and more information can be found here.

Help for Low Income Households

If you receive a low income you may be entitled to help through benefits.  For more information on the variety of benefits and how to claim please visit:

To check if your household is eligible for help through Benefits there are free financial health checks that you can use to check and be guided on what benefits you may be eligible for.  These checks will cover all benefits including but not limited to Universal Credit and benefits associated with a disability.

These financial health checks are really easy to complete, you will just need your household details and income details.  Most can be carried out anonymously so that you can decide if entitled whether to claim or not.

Warm Home Discount
