Skywalk Guided Tour – Exploring underneath the viaduct for the first time in a year
Run by Friends of Bennerley Viaduct
Time: 6 pm – 7 pm.
Start and finish: The tour begins underneath the viaduct. Please access via Newtons Lane off Awsworth Road (what3words reference: ///played.reds/whites).
If you are travelling from Nottingham (A6096, Shilo Way) turn right onto Newtons Lane, then turn right again just before the railway bridge. If you are travelling from Ilkeston, it is your first left after the railway bridge. It can be tricky navigating this road as digital map systems show Newtons Lane as Awsworth Road. We highly recommend using what3words for your journey. The gate to the lane will be open.
There are no amenities available apart from parking. The nearest toilet facilities are Tesco Extra, Ilkeston. The finish of the walk will be at the same place as the start.
Distance: 3km.
Parking: Yes, as above.
Accessibility: 0 stiles.
