Potential object donation to Erewash Museum

Erewash Museum Service aims to promote learning, understanding and enjoyment  of the history and culture of Erewash for patrons through the effective management and interpretation of its collections. 

The museum is committed to encouraging local  communities and visitors to participate in heritage and arts activities that are  provided for the benefit and enjoyment of all.

Thank you for considering making an object donation to Erewash Museum. As the  museum has very limited storage space for its collections, any potential object 
donation must be considered and accepted by the Collections Team first. 
Any object offered to the museum must also fulfil the following criteria:

• Evidence of being made or used in the Borough of Erewash
• Accompanied by supporting information, such as photographs or receipts.
• Size, weight and condition will be taken into consideration
• Whether the museum already has a similar item in the collection will also be taken into consideration.

Prior to taking objects into the museum’s collections, we need to record the following  information. With this information the Collections Team will be able to make an  assessment and decision, responding to you within four weeks.
