Finding a Home

How to keep your home or find a new one.

The council makes options available to meet the housing needs of all Erewash residents.

The Housing Options Team works to help those in housing need. It gives advice on finding a home to rent or part buy (shared ownership).

Landlords, agents and tenants should note that the Tenant Fees Act bans lettings fees for tenancies.

If you need assistance with finding somewhere to live there are a range of options available to you which include:

  • Social or affordable housing
  • Privately rented housing and our Bond Guarantee Scheme
  • Supported housing depending on your needs
  • Shared housing
  • Low-cost home ownership.
