Starry Skies SpectacularPaying adults can take children aged five and under to see Erewash council’s fireworks extravaganza for free – with great deals also on offer for locals who buy tickets early for the Starry Skies Spectacular.

The cosmic display on 2 November – the Saturday before Guy Fawkes night – is aimed at all the family. There will be a funfair with rides plus stalls selling delicious traditional food.

Tickets on the gate are £14 for adults and £11 for children. Booking in advance cuts this to £12 and £9. Parking is available for £4.50 – but is strictly limited.

Children’s prices are for 16-year-olds and under – with over-60s paying the same sum.

Booking fees apply.

Family tickets for the event in Long Eaton’s West Park are also available – with advance bookings for two adults and up to three children costing just £30. This rises to £35 on the night.
Gates open at 5pm – with the discounts ending at noon on the day of the display.

Erewash’s Deputy Leader Cllr Becca Everett, who is Lead Member for Community Engagement, said:

“The annual fireworks in Long Eaton draw thousands from across the borough – and we want to encourage residents to go online to get cheaper tickets in advance. While there are other displays across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire many do not offer free entry for under-fives.

“While there will be no bonfire this year – owing to environmental and safety considerations -- the Starry Skies Spectacular promises to more than make up for it by lighting up the heavens over West Park.”
