Playgrounds
Erewash Borough currently has 60 play areas across the borough which it owns and maintains . Many of these have been refurbished in the last five years and have some exciting and adventurous play equipment .
Many of our playgrounds offer a variety of play equipment for different age groups. Most of our neighbourhood parks have small play areas for younger children, with equipment such as swings and see-saws, whilst our bigger parks offer a wide range of activities and equipment for all ages from toddlers to teenagers.
All of our play areas are accessible and many have play equipment which is designed to be inclusive and encourage children to play together regardless of ability.
Our play areas are inspected on a weekly basis by our trained staff to ensure all sites are safe, tidy and meet the required standards. Any problems identified are dealt with in a timely manner. We also have an annual inspection carried out by an independent company to ensure nothing is missed.
