The information to answer CON29 questions is made available to you via the Land Charges Section (with the exception of Highways).
Please use the application form for individual CON29 question requests, giving full details of the property or land to be searched and a precise plan showing the boundaries.
For a full official search please use the CON29 form available from the Law Society (applicant's own in the same format may be used).
Search requests can be submitted by post or through the NLIS Hub. Requests made via post must include a cheque for the correct fee, and can be returned either by post or email.
A personal search of the Local Land Charges Register may be carried out by any person. There is currently no charge for this service.
Appointments are made on a first come, first served basis by telephoning the Land Charges office between 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 4pm Friday.
When an appointment has been made the Land Charges staff will search the relevant registers for information held against the property to be searched.
As all approved planning charges are held on the Local Land Charges Register there is no need for a personal searcher to have to make a further appointment with the Planning Department. Any withdrawn, pending, refused or approved planning applications can be supplied on request by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 0115 907 2244.
Name of the company or person who wishes to carry out the search, contact details if these are not already held on the Land Charges database, the full address of the property or site to be searched and a clearly marked plan.
On arrival please report to reception who will notify the Land Charges staff of your arrival.
If CON29 information has been requested this must be paid for at reception.
