Application Forms
You are encouraged to submit your planning application form and plans online through the Planning Portal. Here you will find on-line application forms, can attach drawings and other documents, make OS plans of your site and pay on-line using a debit or credit card, along with interactive guidance to help you through the process.
Note: When submitting hard copies of applications please only send one copy of all documents, multiples are no longer necessary.
Erewash Borough Council collects the personal information applicants provide on the application form. We will use this information to allow us to contact the applicant and to process the application. We will publish the applicant’s name online in the planning register. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes or any other reason unless required to do so by law.

National Requirements: Completed form.A plan which identifies the land to which the application relates drawn to an identified scale and showing the direction of North. A copy of other plans and drawings or information necessary to describe the subject of the application including: Block plan of the site (for example at a scale of 1:100 or 1:200) showing any site boundaries; Existing and proposed elevations (for example at a scale of 1:50 or 1:100); Existing and proposed floor plans (for example at a scale of 1:50 or 1:100); Existing and proposed site sections and finished floor and site levels (for example at a scale of 1:50 or 1:100); Plans to a scale of not less than 1:20 to show all new doors, windows, shop- fronts, panelling, fireplaces, plaster moulding and other decorative details; Roof plans (for example at a scale of 1:50 or 1:100); The completed Ownership Certificate (A, B, C or D – as applicable) as required by Regulation 6 of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990; Design and access statement; In addition, where Ownership Certificates B, C or D have been completed, notice(s) as required by Regulation 6 of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990 must be given and/or published in accordance with this Regulation. Where the owner is unknown the Notice to Unknown Owners (Notice 2) on Planning Portal Website (external link) needs to be published in a local newspaper.
A copy of the notice must also be sent with the application to the local authority.
